Gemini in Chrome has grown to Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. This built-in AI chatbot views your tabs and windows to summarize content, compare information, edit images with Nano Banana 2, and integrate with Calendar, Maps, Gmail and YouTube all from a sidebar without leaving your page. Previously launched in: US, Canada, New Zealand, India. Not yet supported in EU. Full list of countries here.

Google has officially launched Gemini in Chrome to dozens more countries spanning Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. In these regions, the AI chatbot is now integrated straight into Chrome browser on PC and iOS. For the full list of countries, see below

Unfortunately the EU is still not there, but Google says that other regions may be included in the future.

What is Gemini on Chrome?

Gemini in Chrome, which was released in the US last year and then expanded to Canada, New Zealand and India in March. As the name says, it’s Google’s Gemini AI, but baked directly into your Chrome browser. This integration enables Gemini to “see” your open Chrome tabs and windows and assist you with anything on them.

Gemini’s key features in Chrome include:

  • summarize content from any web site
  • Cross-referencing information between tabs
  • Edit and create photos using Nano Banana 2
  • Booking Appointments with Google Calendar
  • Checking place data in Google Maps
  • Sending emails with Gmail
  • Deep Google applications integration to answer inquiries regarding YouTube content.

All of this happens in a handy sidebar – so you never need to leave the page you’re on.
