World's first 39-inch 5K OLED monitor with RGB stripe screen Alienware AW3926QW
Alienware is also debuting a refreshed 34-inch ultra-wide and new inexpensive 32 and 34-inch panels.
Some of our favorite OLED monitors in recent years have been created by Alienware. But at Computex the business announced a new high-end alternative, which it says is the "most ambitious display" it has ever produced. The new Alienware monitors are seriously impressive.
AW3926QW Flagship
Alienware is touting the AW3926QW as the world’s first 39-inch 5K OLED monitor with RGB stripe innovation, using a new panel from LG. The significant upgrade here is that it can provide outstanding peak brightness (up to 1,300 nits) and a rapid refresh rate (up to 330Hz), plus the better contrast and vivid hues you expect from OLED but with more clarity when showing text. This is a huge matter because one of the issues with existing QD-OLED (and some WOLED) displays is that their sub-pixel layouts may sometimes lead to color fringing around words and numerals — making text appear a little blurry or soft. So those screens are good for gaming and movies but not the best for working. This New alienware monitors Should Look Great, No Matter What You’re Doing, Thanks To LG’s Latest Panel.
Plus, the AW3926QW sports a stylish design with a slight 1500R curve, as well as certifications for Dolby Atmos and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500. It also has dual-mode capabilities — select between native 5K (5,120 x 2,160) at 165Hz or 1080p at 330Hz for competitive games like Counter-Strike 2. It has a built-in KVM and a USB-C port with 90W passthrough charging. Ports are DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 FRL with eARC, and the display supports NVIDIA G‑Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Like other Alienware displays, you get a three-year guarantee that includes burn-in.
Pricing not announced yet but expect far beyond $ 1,000 . Available in late June.
AW3426DW: New ultra-wide 34-inch
If you want something smaller, there’s the 34‑inch AW3426DW - a long awaited update of its 2022 predecessor. It sports a QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel with up to 1,300 nits brightness (up from 1,000), a new anti-reflective coating, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, and a quicker 280Hz refresh rate (up from 240Hz). This Alienware monitor will be available in July, pricing TBD.
Budget-friendly choices
The good news is, if you’re on a budget, Alienware offers two more affordable Alienware displays to join the AW2726DM from earlier this spring. The Alienware 32 (AW3226DM) and Alienware 34 (AW3426DWM) offer QHD gaming for $300 and $400 respectively. The 32-inch variant includes a standard 16:9 2,560 x 1,440 panel, while the 34-inch model has an ultra-wide 3,440 x 1,440 configuration. Both have a 240Hz frame rate, AMD FreeSync and DisplayHDR 400 certification. These Alienware displays bring high refresh gaming to the masses.
